Terms of Use
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of summitsb.com, operated by Summit Studios of 622 Olive St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms apply to the website itself; studio rentals are governed by the separate rental agreement provided when a booking is confirmed.
Quotes and bookings
- Submitting the quote form or calling us is an inquiry, not a booking. No date is reserved and no agreement exists until we confirm your booking in writing.
- Quotes are prepared for the production described to us. Changes to crew size, hours, equipment, or scope may change the quote.
- Rates are based on a 10-hour day, 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, unless otherwise agreed. Overtime, equipment rental, and additional services are quoted separately.
- Confirmed bookings are subject to the studio rental agreement, which covers payment, cancellation, insurance requirements, and care of the space and equipment.
Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, photography, video, graphics, the Summit Studios name and logo, and the site design, is owned by Summit Studios or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial viewing.
Third-party brand names and logos that appear on this site, including those of clients and brands that have worked in the studio, are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply endorsement of this website by those brands.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse this website. Specifically, you will not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its server, or connected systems
- Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or index the site for commercial purposes without permission
- Submit false, misleading, or malicious content through our forms
- Interfere with the site's operation, including by transmitting malware or attempting denial-of-service attacks
- Use the site in any way that violates applicable law
Third-party links and services
The site links to third-party services, including Instagram, Google Maps, and Google reviews. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. A link does not imply our endorsement.
Disclaimers
This website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." While we work to keep information current and accurate, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, or availability of the site, including descriptions of the studio, equipment, and amenities, which may change. Photography on the site depicts real productions but specific setups, gear, and configurations vary by booking.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Summit Studios and its owners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if we were advised such damages were possible. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Liability relating to studio rentals is addressed in the rental agreement, not these website terms.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Summit Studios from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the website.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Santa Barbara County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes and severability
We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect.
